London born hairstylist Anna Cofone, started her hairdressing career over 10 years ago after developing a passion for hair whilst studying performing arts. It was her interest in cult films, music and fashion, which led her to join leading salon group Haringtons and complete her apprenticeship.
Soon after she won the L’Oreal 2001 Talent Spotting competition and her role within the company rapidly grew leading her to work with graduate designers from Central St. Martins and the L’Oreal Artistic Portfolio on several international projects for both Kerastase and Redken, It was this brief but exciting insight into the world of fashion and photography that shaped Anna’s decision to pursue a career as a session stylist.
In 2008, after an inspirational year spent travelling the world, Anna settled back in London to launch her freelance career as a session stylist and started assisting industry greats Eugene Souleiman and Sam McKnight backstage at New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion week, helping to create the looks for shows including Chanel, Balmain, Stella McCartney and Yohji Yamamoto.
Anna then began shooting for online publications including ID, Dazed and Confused, Volt, Nowness, Vogue Italy and was soon voted as one of Vogue’s “Ones To Watch” in their 2009 September Issue.
This exposure soon lead to a collaboration with musician Lana Del Rey, creating her iconic Hollywood glamour looks for her critically acclaimed album ‘Born To Die’ and included working on all her music videos, editorial shoots, (including Vogue, Numero, Interview, Officiel) and for her partnerships with H&M, Mulberry and Cartier.
Anna has worked with photographer’s including as Inez & Vinoodh, Solve Sundsbo, Sean & Seng and her work has been published in magazines including W, Interview, Vogue and V.
Currently based in London, Anna travels between Paris, Milan, New York and LA.
